Home – Truck Hot Boxes
Spaulding Roadsaver’s design was born to improve upon the original design. The Roadsaver hot box was designed to save time and operational money for the end user.
It is an asphalt recycler and hot box combo ranging in size capacities of 2 to 4 tons.
The main advantage to the design of the Roadsaver is only ONE burner is needed to reclaim asphalt, whereas others require two burners. The fuel and maintenance savings alone make this unit top in its class compared to the rest.
The Roadsaver hot box trailer is made to last with heavy duty steel construction. The hopper floor is made of 1/4 inch steel. Also it has heated inner hopper ductwork fully heated, for more contact to asphalt for reclaiming.
The inner side walls are made of 10 gauge steel, and the outer-skin of 12 gauge. The frame is constructed of 6 x 2 x 5/16″ thick tubing.
The Roadsaver can be made to dump asphalt out with the dumping hopper option, which comes equipped with 2 cylinders to empty the hopper fast for more production.
It can also come equipped with hydraulic top doors, and a hydraulic rear door for easy use of unloading.
The Spaulding Roadsaver is available with a dumping hopper option. Whether you’re in the market for an oil or air jacketed hopper, you can add our dumping option to your trailer.
Spaulding Mfg has incorporated a fully Oil Jacketed hopper as an option on its hot box trailers. With an Oil Jacketed Hopper you have the capability of a using your hot box as an asphalt transporter and also as a recycler to reclaim asphalt chunks, and millings. With an Oil Jacketed Hopper you also produce even heat distribution throughout the whole hopper, resulting in no materials hardening up and burning. Oil Jacketed Hoppers can also recycle asphalt down with a single burner whereas other Air Jacketed type of hoppers require two burners and double the fuel.
